The oxidative style of vinification of Vin Jaune and other Jura whites is the main characteristic of the region but not the whole truth. Some of the rest will be sought in elegant, ethereal reds that are the antidote to the cult of over-extraction and concentration these days. Yet this is not a deep philosophical debate. These are simply the capabilities of Jurassic terroir and varieties like Poulsard and Trousseau. They make elegant wines. So Singulier mirrors the terroir's ability to give wines with flavourful depth but lightness at the same time. Ripe glossy fruit, deeply aromatic, soft and ripe tannins and a lovely chewy texture, in a medium to light body.
