    Yiannis Economou's Asyrtiko 2014 redefines the notion of complexity in white wines. In fact, there aren't many wines with the intensity, strength, structure such are these of this particular wine. Unique oxidation that is intentional on the nose, with a finesse that is only found in the best wines of the Jura, an astonishing set of aromas that comes in the range of dried fruits and nuts and in the mouth, an extremely balanced acidity which comes to refresh everything and underline how the wine, in spite of its evolution, still has a long way to go.     Yiannis Economou almost simultaneously releases two different years of Asyrtiko from 2014 and 2015. Two very high quality wines with different styles. Between the two, 2014 has a deep golden color and a beautiful aromatic evolution, with complex oxidizing notes and without any petroleum element found in the ancient Asyrtiko of Santorini. The palate has strength in the mouth, even a slightly phenolic dimension, while the intensities and duration are unique. Special, incredibly sophisticated, a style of wine that refers to Yiannis Economou's deep relationship with the long tradition of his place.
