Its name, which translates to "the estate of the monks", is a direct reference to the long history of the domain which belonged to the monks since the 12th century. From the designation of origin “Savennières-Roche Aux Moines” it is possible to know the first compound of the expression, since Savennières is probably the first production area - mainly - of dry Chenin Blanc in the Loire, but Roche Aux Moines is one of the two crus-sub-regions of Savennières and in the hands of Tessa Laroche produces Chenin Blanc with deep concentration, strength, minerality and great aging potential. organic farming, biodynamic practices, natural winemaking and you get some of the most important white wines in the world.
