Wine producers, Real Artists!

Dougos Winery has been located in Rapsani, at the foot of the southeastern slope of Mount Olympus, at an elevation of 550–700 meters, since 1991. The estate employs exclusively organic farming methods as well as modern winemaking techniques.

The vineyards extend across the Prosilia and Tourtura Rapsani sites, at an altitude of approximately 550–700 meters on the southeastern slopes of Mount Olympus.

The soil consists mainly of iron-rich schist. The iron in the soil is a key factor, as it regulates its water-holding capacity. The soil is low in organic matter. Its structure allows roots to penetrate the subsoil, ensuring the vines do not suffer from a lack of moisture during the summer. The subsoil is sandy-loam.

The cultivation is dry-farmed and organic, resulting in a yield per acre that does not exceed 500–800 kg/acre.

The vineyards are planted with the Greek varieties Xinomavro, Krasato, Stavroto, Limniona, Roditis, and Assyrtiko, as well as the French varieties Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Grenache.
