100% Montepulciano, vinified as Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC, the distinctive rosé expression of Abruzzo’s iconic red grape variety. Its bright cherry color comes from the brief maceration of the must with the skins, a traditional technique that gives the wine greater structure, intensity, and complexity compared to most rosés. The vineyards are cultivated biodynamically in the Orsogna region, at an elevation of 440 meters, between the Adriatic Sea and the Maiella mountain range. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with native yeasts, while aging in concrete tanks and in the bottle preserves the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir. The result is a rosé with freshness, balanced acidity, and a distinctive almond-like aftertaste, which perfectly bridges the gastronomic profile of a light red with the elegance and freshness of a rosé. A wine that highlights the authentic character of Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo, one of Central Italy’s most distinctive winemaking traditions.
Το Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo είναι ένα από τα πιο συναρπαστικά και γαστρονομικά ροζέ κρασιά της Ιταλίας, φτιαγμένο από το σπουδαιότερο ερυθρό σταφύλι της περιοχής, το Montepulciano. Το Pettirosce - όνομα που παραπέμπει στον κοκκινολαίμη, ένα από τα πιο χαρακτηριστικά πουλιά της ιταλικής υπαίθρου - παράγεται από την Cantina Orsogna, έναν από τους πιο πρωτοπόρους συνεταιρισμούς της χώρας. Οι παραδοσιακοί αμπελώνες, διαμορφωμένοι σε σύστημα πέργκολας (Pergola Abruzzese), καλλιεργούνται βιοδυναμικά, ενώ η οινοποίηση ακολουθεί τη φιλοσοφία των ελάχιστων παρεμβάσεων. Το όνομα της ονομασίας προέλευσης προέρχεται τόσο από την τοπική διάλεκτο «cirasce» και τη ναπολιτάνικη «cerasa», όσο και από την αρχαία ελληνική λέξη «cherasion», που σημαίνει «κεράσι», παραπέμποντας στο χαρακτηριστικό χρώμα αλλά και στον αρωματικό χαρακτήρα του κρασιού. Γεμάτο αρώματα λικέρ μαρασκίνο, ώριμου κερασιού και διακριτικές νότες καραμέλας, διαθέτει έναν απολαυστικά γαστρονομικό ουρανίσκο με ήπια τανική δομή, δροσερή οξύτητα και φρουτώδες τελείωμα. Η χαρακτηριστική αμυγδαλένια επίγευση προσθέτει πολυπλοκότητα και διάρκεια.
