    Dennis Jamain has a completely abstract mood towards this airy light Pinot Noir from his vineyard "Les Pierres Plates" in Reuilly. Not wanting to interfere at all, with the delightfully, light character that Pinot Noir acquires in the terroir of the region, he leaves the barrel out of the picture, simply aging the wine in stainless steel tanks. The wine expresses itself beautifully, with an emphasis on crisp fruit that is complemented by mineral hints and a hint of earthy, herbal "breath". The quintessence of Pinot Noir lies in elegance and this is a very elegant and fresh example of the variety.

    Delicious, expressive, fresh red fruit, reminiscent of cherry and wild strawberry along with some mineral notes that suggest iodine and herbal hints that bring to mind coriander and mint. A fine thread of tannins unfolds on the palate, just enough to provide the structure that even a wine so fine in line and delicacy would need. "Les Pierres Plates" comes to perfect a type of red wine that is perfectly appealing and capable of "taking off" even in the heat of summer.
