    Bourgogne Pinot Noir Antonin is a blend from different terroirs in Chambolle, Brochon and Gilly-les-Citeaux on clay and limestone soils. It has that directness of an excellent Beaujolais, without too much structure but with an emphasis on directness and fruit. I wish all generic Burgundies carried this terribly direct, crystalline character. The wine holds nothing back from you and is enjoyable from the start. As you age a Les Retraits you can get a sense of Jérôme Galeyrand's unique style by lightly refreshing a glass of Antonin. In this category of wines you will be able to pick out a genius producer. He will be able to surprise you with the quality you will find in the glass.

    Cuvee from four different vineyards, spontaneous fermentation, small percentage of whole bunch fermentation and 16 months in oak barrels. Mouth full of red fresh fruit, spicy elements and silky texture on the palate with an elegant touch of acidity. Unpretentious, easy to drink, with a purely pleasurable dimension. Antonin is the name of his young son.
