Orsogna Lunaria Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Bianco IGP Terre d'Abruzzo

12,10 €

100% Trebbiano d'Abruzzo from Demeter-certified biodynamic vineyards in the Orsogna region. The vineyards are located at an elevation of 440 meters, equidistant from the Adriatic Sea and the Maiella mountain range, benefiting from significant temperature fluctuations and cool sea and mountain breezes. The vines are cultivated using the traditional Abruzzese Pergola (“capanna”) system, which requires exclusively manual labor and contributes to the plant’s natural balance. Winemaking involves spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts, while the wine is stabilized using natural methods and is not subjected to sterile filtration. Sulfites are kept at very low levels, in accordance with Demeter biodynamic certification standards. A wine with authentic character that combines freshness, gastronomic appeal, and a pure expression of the Trebbiano variety. It possesses depth of fruit and concentration that will allow it to age well.

More info

Along with the red Montepulciano, Trebbiano d’Abruzzo is the region’s hallmark, producing wines with an expressive character and intense minerality. Charisma Trebbiano is born in the hills of Orsogna, between the Maiella mountain range and the Adriatic Sea, in vineyards cultivated biodynamically that keep a centuries-old tradition alive. The vines are trained using the traditional Abruzzese pergola system, forming green “roofs” where the leaves embrace the wind and light, as has been the case for generations in the Abruzzo countryside. Spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention in the cellar allow the wine to authentically express its place of origin. Ripe stone fruit, hints of honey, wild herbs, flowers, and intense minerality come together to form a complex aromatic profile, leading to a palate with rich fruit, balance, and a long finish. If you’ve ever been told that Italian white wines lack personality, Trebbiano d’Abruzzo proves exactly the opposite, while also offering incredible value for the price.
