Isole e Olena’s Chianti Classico comes as a reminder of the reasons we remain in love with Italy and its symbols. Coming from the heart of the historic zone it constitutes a typical expression of Sangiovese that sounds like music to our ears. Ethereal, delicate, expressive and with an irresistible aromatic character that is bustling with fresh red fruits and fresh botanical notes.
Isole e Olena Chianti Classico is yet another example of the finesse and delicacy of the wines of Paolo de Marchi. Fresh and juicy with the classic notes of red cherry, mint and licorice, wrapped around the typical fine tannins of Sangiovese and all this on top of a palate that is overwhelming you with the freshness of its acidity. Elements of smoke and a light earthy dimension lead to a clear finish, with glorious red fruit. The classic blend of Sangiovese, with some Canaiolo added and small traces of the signature Syrah of Paolo de Marchi, has aged in a combination of large oak and barriques for twelve months. It will enthuse you with is freshness, authenticity and the sheer relish we always get from enjoying Paolo’s wines.
