Milia Riza Luntáne Rosé de Gris

And if Nemea is not the first place that comes to mind for the production of sparkling wines, this could not be true for the region of Mantinea and Moschofilero. This is where Nancy Mazou and Stefano Stante have turned their attention to complement the amazing range of sparkling wines they produce. The word complement is an understatement since this is a stunning rosé sparkling wine made using the traditional method from an organic vineyard in the highlands of Mantinea. Luntáne Rosé de Gris is the rosé version of a Muscovy sparkling wine that hides none of its floral and fruity varietal character, but has much more depth and complexity as a result of the traditional method. Next to it and freshness of eucalyptus and mint.

More info

With the characteristic pale colour of white onion skin, Luntáne Rosé de Gris gives a lot of "gas" in terms of aromatic complexity. Elegant and rosy, yet without overpowering floral aromas, grapefruit and red fruit aromas come alongside the rose to balance grapefruit and red fruit flavours along with a characteristic minerality. Freshness of mint, balsamic and basil and explosive acidity on the palate pulsate on the palate, which seems airy, fresh and full of energy. 15 months of contact with the lees bring to the fore notes of bread but they don't come out ahead of the varietal fruit. Beautifully expressive finish with a slightly appetising tannic aftertaste of citrus peel and pink grapefruit.
