Among them, Marco de Grazia's Etna Rosato exploits the source of Nerello Mascalese's versatility, but goes against the current of the times. Instead of a modern, fruity, sweetly flavoured rosé, Marco offers a dry to the bone, salty and fresh version of a softly coloured rosé. All the seriousness, intensity and minerality of the classic package offered by the volcano in a lighter but impossibly sharp version.

    Nerello Mascalese gives excellent rosés and Marco de Grazia's Etna Rosato from younger vines in different parts of the estate is a rosé that is etched in the memory. A real firework of intensity and minerality, it's not unlike the playground and candied fruit that comes to mind when it comes to rosé wines. With pulsating energy and tensions, salty minerality and the freshness of a cool climate, it lampoons the fantastic terroir of Etna in a serious rosé version. A wine that does not aim to simply quench your thirst by the beach but has as its ultimate destination a complex and interesting gastronomy that can accompany it in an ideal way.
