    Berckem comes from all the historically cultivated varieties of Alsace that have been planted together in the vineyards and harvested together. A complex mosaic that blends the different varieties from the Bergheim terroir on a limestone substrate with clay-limestone soils on the surface. Berckem is extremely complex and aromatic with intense tropical fruit character. Pineapple, sweet apple juice, honey and floral notes, with a palate that has residual sugars and high balancing acidity. With excellent range on the palate but acidity to refresh and a long finish that leaves the memory of tropical fruits. Tension and energy, acidity and gentle sweetness, a beautiful, complex wine from Deiss.

    All 13 Alsace varieties with Riesling making up 50% of the blend. Soft but with some "edges" at the same time and a dense texture. Perfectly balanced, a fantastic wine for spicy salmon tartare, Athenian fish, and fried foie gras. Old-school vinification, fermentation with whole bunches, spontaneous fermentation and maturation in contact with the lees for 12 months in large oak barrels.
