Berckem comes from all the historically cultivated varieties of Alsace that have been planted together in the vineyards and harvested together. A complex mosaic that blends the different varieties from the Bergheim terroir on a limestone substrate with clay-limestone soils on the surface. Berckem is extremely complex and aromatic with intense tropical fruit character. Pineapple, sweet apple juice, honey and floral notes, with a palate that has residual sugars and high balancing acidity. With excellent range on the palate but acidity to refresh and a long finish that leaves the memory of tropical fruits. Tension and energy, acidity and gentle sweetness, a beautiful, complex wine from Deiss.
