A “light red,” it resembles a deep rosé more than a red, resulting from the blending of three red Tania varieties: Mavro Potamisi, Koumariano, and Kontoura. Delicate and refined notes, as if it hadn’t been extracted but had undergone a gentle maceration that gives it a character that defines the concept of drinkability. Its soft touch and lightness are more reminiscent of a light wine, and words like elegance and freshness come to mind when you taste it. It could be a tribute to a bygone era when even Bordeaux wines were cherished as claret rather than the hyper-concentrated “beasts” they have become today. So set aside concepts like over-extraction, concentration, overripe fruit, and heavy oak, and enjoy its unexpectedly lively and fresh character.

More info

One of those wines that exerts a “spiritual charm” over you. Its beauty lies in its unconventional character. Nothing you’d expect from a Mediterranean red wine, but rather a perfect embodiment of the potential of the Tainian terroir in terms of freshness and elegance. A natural wine with no sulfur at all, which directly highlights the fruit and floral notes, with a vein of salty minerality running through the wine across its entire spectrum, reminiscent of light soy sauce. So direct and straightforward in its fruitiness that it evokes fresh juice, making the winemaker’s hand seem invisible throughout the winemaking process.

Penetrating tensions with beautiful oxidation supported by notes of citrus peel and candied lemon. Give it time to open up and it will throw a party of aromas with saffron and curry, tobacco leaves, nuts such as walnuts and roasted almonds, and earthy notes of truffle. Full of umami on the palate, minerality reminiscent of peat and shellfish, intense...
