Champagne Larmandier-Bernier Blanc de Noirs 1er Cru '15 750ml

165,20 €

The uniqueness of Larmandier-Bernier’s Blanc de Noirs Premier Cru lies, among other things, in the fact that it is the first red-grape champagne produced by this house, which is a benchmark for the Côte des Blancs and Chardonnay. This bottle is from the 2015 vintage, an exceptional year for Pinot Noir, and is 100% Pinot Noir from vines in the village of Vertus. In the glass, it offers wonderfully ripe red fruits, cherries, and wild berries, with notes of chalk and intense smoky minerality. On the palate, the champagne displays exceptional energy and power, high fruit ripeness, and a clean, expressive expression of the variety. This is a champagne that combines depth, complexity, and intensity, while simultaneously maintaining freshness and vibrancy.

More info

It is produced in accordance with the estate’s philosophy, which means that the base wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation and then ages in oak barrels (foudres) on the lees. After secondary fermentation in the bottle, it remained on the lees for 6 years during the autolysis period, developing exceptional levels of complexity. No dosage is added, as the health and ripeness of the grapes at harvest make it unnecessary, and of course this also aligns with the current trend toward dry champagnes. The result is perfectly harmonious, without curves but also without sharp edges, with perfect proportions and a “naked” expression of the terroir.

Penetrating tensions with beautiful oxidation supported by notes of citrus peel and candied lemon. Give it time to open up and it will throw a party of aromas with saffron and curry, tobacco leaves, nuts such as walnuts and roasted almonds, and earthy notes of truffle. Full of umami on the palate, minerality reminiscent of peat and shellfish, intense...
