Ch. Climens Petit Lily

25,50 €

Petite Lily is a different interpretation of Sémillon from Château Climens, compared to the estate’s dry “Grand Vin,” Asphodèle. The latter, first produced in 2018, marked the estate’s inaugural dry white wine—a true innovation for Château Climens, which traditionally specializes in sweet wines from the Barsac region. Asphodèle reflects the estate’s modern approach, highlighting the unique terroir and producing exceptional dry wines with a focus on energy and elegance. In contrast, Petite Lily is a lighter, more approachable expression of Sémillon. Also dry, it is crafted to be enjoyed immediately, with a fruit-forward profile that contrasts with the minerality and intensity of Asphodèle. Nevertheless, Petite Lily remains a perfectly crafted, complete wine—an excellent introduction to the world of Château Climens at an incredible value.

More info

Petite Lily is produced with the same care and attention as the estate’s more prestigious wines. It follows strict biodynamic practices and clearly expresses the limestone terroir of Climens. In short, it is a refined introduction to the estate’s dry wines at an exceptionally accessible price. Harvesting is done by hand, ensuring the highest quality of grapes. Vinification takes place in small cement tanks, which highlight the aromatic purity of the variety, and fermentation occurs spontaneously. On the palate, notes of peach and pear, delicate floral hints, and a clean, balanced acidity give the wine liveliness and freshness. Finesse and elegance, hallmarks of all Château Climens wines, are clearly present in Petite Lily.

Isole e Olena Chianti Classico is yet another example of the finesse and delicacy of the wines of Paolo de Marchi. Fresh and juicy with the classic notes of red cherry, mint and licorice, wrapped around the typical fine tannins of Sangiovese and all this on top of a palate that is overwhelming you with the freshness of its acidity. Elements of smoke and a...

On the one hand, great aromatic and flavour concentration, intensely oily sensation and richness in the mouth. On the other hand, excellent range, air and freshness. Multi-layered flavours and aromas, notes of quince, toast, caramel, along with strong dry-fruit elements. Richly sweet but with terrific lift and spirit leading to an exciting finish with...
