Combining exceptional nobility and undeniable power, Cuvee Lopy is produced from very old Grenache and Syrah vines at Le Sang des Cailloux winery. Having literally squeezed out all the essence of the old vineyards, the wine will sweep you away, keeping an equal distance between the obvious concentration of the little fruit produced by the old vines and its soft touch on the palate. The Grenache lays the foundation with its beautifully exuberant red fruit and earthy notes while the accentuated minerality reflects the stony soils that give the ultimate interpretation to the winery's name - The Blood of Stone. All the accumulated wisdom and memories of old vines in a great Mediterranean wine from Serge Ferigoule and his children.

Cuvee Lopy is produced from vines over seventy years old on the characteristic stony soils of the region, cultivated according to the principles of biodynamic farming. At the winery, vinification is done in concrete tanks with indigenous yeasts and the wine is matured for twelve months in already used 450 lt barrels. It is bottled with minimal sulphites and without filtration, developing a beautiful character of tin and blueberry with earthy peppery elements, leather and dried herbs. Dense fruit carries the alcohol through the palate while tannins and freshness drive the wine through to a very long finish. Its ripeness and harmony make it ready now but if you age it will develop a pronounced complexity.
