This is what the Garden of Eden must have looked like. As heavenly as the incomprehensible in intensity and complexity aromas of this sweet Muscat. The Idyss of the Sun comes from microcrisp white Muscat, a traditional variety of Paliki, from old vines over 60 years old at an altitude of about 50 meters above sea level. The vinification of the wine is completely traditional and is based on the sunbathing of the grapes, which are spread out on threshing floors under the sun to partially dehydrate them. The fermentation is spontaneous and slow - it can take months to complete, leaving a wine with a high sugar content but with a surprising natural acidity. Once it has been left in five hundred litre French oak barrels it will acquire a complexity that will take you on flavour “journeys” that no other wine has been able to do so far.

More info

Tensions and aromas that are universally captivating. Concentrated apricot, jams, figs, figs, raisins, thyme honey and spices, always, of course, through the floral signature of Muscat, which here emerges in the form of candied rose. It's hard to describe the explosion but also the crystal clarity of the aromas. The palate has a very nice richness but also tones of acidity that travels the freshness through to the finish. A finish full of glazed fruit, crystal clear and crystal clear. Obviously has the potential to evolve over many decades and will drink wonderfully whenever you decide to open it. A wine that continues a huge tradition on the island since during the Venetian rule in Kefalonia, sweet Muscat was one of the famous products of the Venetian state. It is a great Muscat in a limited number of bottles.
