    A 1er Cru in Burgundy is always serious business, and Grésigny, in the southwestern part of Rully, is widely considered one of the area’s finest 1er Cru Chardonnay vineyards. Thanks to organic and biodynamic farming and the meticulous care of Pierre de Benoist, the health of this 80-year-old vineyard is remarkable. The fruit is of outstanding quality — rich, dense and expressive, despite very low yields. Grésigny reveals a finely tuned balance between the sensuous, generous texture of Chardonnay and the mineral freshness and finesse that are the unmistakable signature of this great terroir. A wine of truly top-tier quality, capable of making more than a few growers in the more famous — and spotlight-stealing — Côte de Beaune raise an eyebrow.

    Un 1er Cru en Bourgogne est toujours une affaire très sérieuse, et Grésigny, situé dans la partie sud-ouest de Rully, compte parmi les meilleurs climats classés 1er Cru de l’appellation pour le Chardonnay. Grâce à une viticulture biologique et biodynamique et au soin attentif de Pierre de Benoist, la santé de ce vignoble de 80 ans est remarquable. Le fruit est d’une qualité exceptionnelle : riche, dense et concentré, malgré des rendements naturellement faibles. Grésigny exprime un équilibre subtil entre la texture sensuelle et généreuse du Chardonnay et une fraîcheur minérale empreinte de finesse, véritable signature de ce grand terroir. Un vin de très haut niveau, capable de faire lever plus d’un sourcil chez certains vignerons de la Côte de Beaune, plus au nord — et sous les projecteurs.
