Rosso Piceno is one of the countless appellations of origin of the Italian vineyard and is exclusively dedicated to red wines. In this central part of Italy, there is a transition from the predominance of Sangiovese, which dominates the north of the region, to Montepulciano, which dominates the south. Aurora Winery's Rosso Piceno 2021 is a blend of the two varieties with a small addition of Cabernet Sauvignon. The style is light, fruity and direct with beautiful expressiveness and directness. If you cool it down you will enjoy its beautiful characteristics to the fullest. Its essence lies in the simplicity and the taste it offers. It goes great with pizza and pasta, to be honest it's almost made for them.
It is a blend of 50% Sangiovese, 40% Montepulciano and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, which is the classic blend of the appellation of origin. Sangiovese is more ethereal and elegant while Montepulciano gives the blend more body and richness. The wine comes from organic vineyards and is produced with minimal intervention in the winery. The fermentation and maturation of the wine is in stainless steel tanks and is sold fresh intended for immediate consumption. Simple, tasty, fruity and enjoyable.
