More info
The name Asphodèle comes from the asphodel flower, a symbol of light and rebirth, a character that is reflected in the wine itself: bright, refined, and full of energy. It represents the renewal of a region through a different approach—perhaps atypical, yet extremely timely for its era. Vinification is carried out with respect and without intervention. This natural approach mirrors the philosophy of Château Climens, focused on creating great wines with authenticity and reverence for nature. The estate practices fully biodynamic viticulture, enhancing both the health of the vineyards and the expression of the terroir. Harvesting is done by hand, selecting only the healthiest and ripest Sémillon grapes. Fermentation takes place exclusively with natural, indigenous yeasts in cement vats, preserving the freshness and purity of the fruit. The result is a lively, authentic, and expressive wine, one that captures the essence of the terroir, as if you could read it directly from the glass, and showcases the purity of this exceptional grape variety at its absolute peak. It is a wine with many years ahead for aging.
