Domaine Champalou Vouvray Le Fondreaux Demi Sec

24,50 €

Demi-sec Vouvray is one of the region's most historic wine styles. The residual sugars help to enhance the aromatic expression of the fruit. At the same time, they offer volume and roundness to the wine, balancing the pronounced acidity and stony minerality, two characteristics for which Vouvray wines are renowned. This wonderful balance between the gentle sweetness that is hinted at by the characteristic acidity of the grape is the key feature of Champalou's "Le Fondraux". The combination of concentration, sugars, and acidity promises excellent aging for the next decade. Ethnic cuisines such as Thai will highlight the wine's enjoyable and food-friendly character.

More info

If you are prejudiced against any form of sweetness in your wine, you will miss a unique opportunity to enjoy one of the most refined wine styles on the planet. Le Fondraux may have a slightly sweet taste, but its balanced acidity means fine lines, liveliness, and no trace of flatness in the wine. A perfect finish, measured sweetness, honeyed aromas, and freshness make you wonder why all wines in the world aren't made this way. But not all wines can be made from varieties such as Chenin Blanc.
