This outstanding Premier Cru vineyard is the only Rully 1er Cru of Domaine de Villaine planted with both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It is one of the most beautiful climats of the region, and it produces an equally beautiful, elegant, and refined Pinot Noir. The wine combines fresh red fruits such as raspberry and red berries with finesse and elegance on the palate, highlighted by silky-textured tannins. Highly expressive, it delivers a stunning burst of fruit and minerality, sitting somewhere between the seductive flesh of Pinot Noir and the graceful structure provided by its tannins. It recalls its “white sibling” from the same vineyard in terms of aromatic freshness and its ethereal character.
